Cilla Black Means Back?
Jowsey, Jemma and Phil discuss back pain, specifically disc pathology.
When is back pain disc pathology and when isn’t it? What’s the best exercise to undertake with disc pathology? When is it time to really worry?
A disc is the spongy material in-between the vertebral bodies and allows for movement of the spine... disc pathology ‘prolapse etc…’ essentially means disc material is not where it should be. The time when you would be more concerned about that is if you are getting pain associated with…. If it was lower back then for example you would be getting leg pain.
“Statistics say that 20% of people in their 20’s will have disc pathology that they don’t know anything about…. I wouldn’t say it is even damage its part of a normal process… disc material can move in and out. You might scan the back one day and then a couple of weeks later and disc material will be different.” Jemma Chambers
